Requirements
Position Description:
Macmillan Special Markets is seeking a sales assistant for the specialty retail gift sales channel. The assistant would report to the Manager, Specialty Retail and provide support to the retail sales channel handling and processing orders for our commission gift representatives and national accounts managed by our commission rep groups. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to customary administrative duties, support for account presentations, order processing and tracking, account maintenance, and general customer service. The position is also responsible for paying monthly sales commissions, assisting at two trade gift shows and Toy Fair, and working closely on our two seasonal gift catalogs.
Major Responsibilities:
• Daily interaction with customer service, accounts and in-house sales leads
• Order processing and tracking
• Create sales materials and email blasts for targeted titles
• Processing monthly commission reports
Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Skilled in verbal and written communication
• Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
• Strong ability to multitask and work on deadlines
• Possess enthusiasm and initiative for sales
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Word, MS Excel and PowerPoint
Experience Needed:
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required
Educational Background Required:
• Bachelor’s Degree
