We are currently looking for an Immigration and Relocation Specialist to facilitate the timely and efficient processing of alien immigrant visa petitions. Reporting to the Senior Director of Benefits and Mobility, this position will works closely with hiring managers, Human Resources, beneficiaries and Legal in new working and Permanent Residence petitions.
The Immigration Specialist will facilitate working visa petitions that renew as early as yearly, in addition to Permanent Residence petitions which can require a five year processing period.
Primary Accountabilities of the role include:
Establishing and maintaining process for all Company based visa transactions within the Company.
Ensuring Company compliance with all immigration codes and regulations.
Collaborate with outside counsel to conduct the appropriate due diligence to strategize and develop short/long term solutions to facilitate the onboarding process assuring compliance.
Coordinate with Management to assist in developing / enhancing company-wide policies, procedures, and systems needed
Support immigration efforts through data gathering and completion of appropriate applications and forms
Provide comprehensive immigration support, including nonimmigrant visa services, lawful permanent residence and naturalization representation, I-9 compliance assistance, immigration policy consulting, and immigration-related due diligence.
Communicate with employees regarding their visa status and provide assistance with visa stamping, relocation and other documentation and procedures
Prepare LCAs for consultants - New, change in work locations, extensions; prepare extension and amendment Petitions, prepare and review PERM Labors and process petitions for immigration status; prepare support letters, forms, and responses to requests for evidence RFEs to submit to USCIS on H-1B, H4, H-4 EAD's, PERM and L-1 Petitions and involve in finalization of the proposals.
Track and monitor critical deadlines by developing and maintaining data base with strict attention to detail.
Partner with outside vendor on relocation services
• 3-5 years equivalent work related experience including immigration petition processing
• Experience with MS Suite applications including Excel
• Detailed oriented with demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
