Job Description
ABC10-KXTV, a TEGNA company,is seeking an innovative business development executive with strong business experience and an entrepreneurial spirit. The Business Development Manager will work closely with local station management to develop and execute best integrated marketing solutions in order to exceed local market revenue goals.
Must be passionate about creating complete marketing campaigns for clients utilizing TEGNA’s best in class media properties. Must be a proven winner with a reputation for excellence and excited to be part of one the most dynamic and exciting media companies in the United States.
Key Responsibilities
• Accountable for local enterprise and digital revenue performance across a defined territory.
• Work both strategically and tactically with sales executives focused on selling integrated marketing solutions to local, regional and national customers.
• Manage pipeline development, identify new revenue opportunities and achieve aggressive growth goals and strong client retention
• Client facing manager who is willing to travel within territory to complete key client calls, and close business.
• Ongoing analysis of performance, including market share, product sell through rates, and advertiser satisfaction
• Present regular detailed reports to management regarding sales activities, success rates and overall business strengths and weakness
• Maintain a solid knowledge of the Company’s underlying ad technology and fulfillment channels, the range of existing products and advertising services, and the digital marketing space as a whole.
Job Requirements
Desired Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years media sales experience, 3 years of media sales management preferred.
• Must have knowledge in local media advertising.
• Must have knowledge of all facets of digital sales and marketing, with expert level across key capabilities (Display, SEO/SEM and Social)
• Able to think strategically, act tactically and effectively manage multiple projects through completion
• Adept at creating new revenue opportunities from synergies between digital and traditional mediums (broadcast, radio, print)
• Action-oriented, effective communicator with strong leadership and development skills
• Confident personality and strong sense of urgency
• Wide Orbit, and Salesforce experience preferred.
