Job Description
TEGNA Media -12 News is looking for a talented, experienced Photojournalist with a proven track record to join the Morning team. The ideal candidate would have the speed of a news photographer, the creative eye of an artist and more than a little bit of magic. If you are a visual storyteller, creative, and have a passion for producing great television stories, we want to hear from you.
Brief Description of Duties
-Videotape and edit assorted feature stories for Morning and other Local Programming broadcast and digital products.
-Capture high quality, dynamic video and crisp sound in real time.
-Collaborate with producers and reporters as well as the public and guests.
-Creative video editing to include shot selection, audio mixing, and use of music to tell memorable stories.
-Post production and multi-layered non-linear editing of stories and the final shows.
-Produce both scripted and natural sound stories and other interstitial material for local programs.
-Write copy for show and Web site as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
-Self-starter who is capable of enterprising original content.
-College degree or equivalent experience preferred.
-Minimum 5 years’ shooting and editing experience with extensive knowledge of non-linear editing systems preferred.
-Writing and producing skills highly desired.
-Team player with a passion for creative storytelling.
-Ability to consistently turn out high quality work under daily pressure deadlines.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to make quick decisions and work independently.
-Valid driver’s license.
