What you’ll be doing:
The Manager will be responsible for leading IMAX's Social and Digital Media initiatives and strategies while coordinating with key internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and effectiveness of all Social and Digital Media efforts. The position will be charged with creating and implementing non-traditional programs and breakthrough social marketing platforms to generate further brand engagement and demand for the IMAX products and services. In addition, the Manager will play a significant role in the development of digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness, acquisition and retention. The successful candidate must have advanced knowledge and understanding of the Social Media landscape, trends and best practices.
• Manage and implement innovative social media strategies to maximize IMAX exposure and brand value, including programs that support key advertising campaigns and the execution of original promotions.
• Oversight on all digital initiatives including social, web and email marketing.
• Guide and influence company-wide social media efforts by acting as an advocate for the integration of all initiatives across the Company.
• Responsible for social and digital campaign budget and calendar planning
• Work alongside IMAX’s Global Creative Agency in optimizing our 2018 brand activity
• Manage social media agency relationships and maximize their effectiveness.
• Manage social media opportunities collaborating with the Brand, Film, Publicity and Communications departments, and implement programs to grow social media presence.
• Manage relationships with select social monitoring and platform partners to support and develop IMAX brand opportunities.
• Provide thought leadership to Senior Management on matters concerning social media programs, trends and issues that can impact the IMAX brand.
• Monitor and analyze digital analytics with ongoing evaluation of web traffic, using a unified reporting system to analyze date and ensure measurable results; provide monthly reports to key stakeholders.
• Manage relationships with digital ticketing partners (Fandango & Movietickets) for IMAX.com and mobile presence.
• Research and evaluate tools and applications to enhance digital marketing initiatives.
• In collaboration with marketing leadership Manage IMAX.com to create a distinctive user experience
• Ongoing evaluation of brand sentiment via daily monitoring of digital conversations.
What we’re looking for:
• 5+ years of experience within social and digital marketing platforms; 2+ years of direct management experience.
• Experience developing end-to-end social media processes
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of social media and networking platforms, and a strong understanding of new media consumer behaviors and trends. Requires a mix of strong interactive, social media background and ability to tackle non-traditional marketing programs.
• Active involvement in social media networks: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
• Proven track record of generating results, managing teams and collaborating with others.
• Extensive project management experience, ability to manage heavy workloads and rapidly shift priorities based upon the organizational needs.
• Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the creative production process.
• Experience working in a complex, fast-paced organization is strongly preferred.
