UMe is currently seeking to fill the role of Coordinator, Film & TV Music. The Coordinator of Film & TV Music researches copyrights, obtains necessary approvals and negotiates appropriate fees for the use of Universal Music Enterprises copyrights in all forms of audiovisual media, including but not limited to film, television and home entertainment.
Job Functions:
• Negotiate fees and terms for Ume owned or controlled songs for use in
• various audiovisual media
• Develop and maintain relationships with music licensing staff at
• film studios and television production companies, music licensing agents,
• managers and attorneys
• Detailed input of negotiated deal points in UMe’s proprietary licensing
• system
• Key point of contact for all international affiliates licensing U.S. copyrights
• for audiovisual productions originating in foreign territories
• Coordinate with all international affiliates for the licensing of foreign
• copyrights for audiovisual productions originating in the U.S.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Job Requirements:
Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure/deadlines
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Resolution-oriented with the ability to think and act independently
• General knowledge of music industry and copyright issues
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently under general direction
Experience:
• 1-2 years of experience in the music licensing field
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
