The Account Executive will serve as a highly organized team member of the Sales team. Responsible for analyzing assigned markets, making strategic recommendation and implementing business development plans. Responsible for selling, promoting and maximizing SeaWorld San Diego and Aquatica San Diego sales via applicable sales channels, as well as developing and executing new sales programs and marketing initiatives with existing and new clients ensuring high customer satisfaction, and positive long-term relationships. Key Account Executive for assigned regional accounts and marketing efforts. Enthusiastically represent SeaWorld by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Account Executive – Includes Orange County, LA County and western region Business Sales markets as assigned.
• Responsible for Los Angeles and Orange County Marketing efforts.
• Active account base, responsible for day to day efforts to maximize ticket sales and brand exposure through resellers. At least 3 days in the field calling on accounts.
• Key account executive to generate sales for special events from account base.
• Implement business plans, promotional opportunities, and negotiations of Sales clients and SeaWorld California (SWC) ticket products.
• Professional representation at business functions.
• Develop and implement effective and ongoing sales calls and sales blitz scheduled to top producing clients for SWC.
• Increase market awareness and development.
• Stay abreast of market and industry trends and changes.
• Research/Analysis/ROI /marketing plan development for assigned markets.
• Responsible for client advertising and sales collateral development through the Brand team.
• Sales channel advertising responsibility.
• Sales channel “earned” exposure through key accounts.
• Sales Channel Training & Implementation - EZ Ticket integration and training.
• Position responsible for sales operations as needed.
• Ensure accounts are well versed in all aspects of San Diego Park offerings by conducting quarterly trainings and Familiarization Tour of the park (FAMs).
Qualifications for Position:
• 3 years of industry sales, marketing, and hospitality experience.
• Must work at least one day in San Diego to have meetings with leadership and team – required.
• Based in Orange County or Los Angeles County - Home office is required.
• Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles.
• Previous Sales training.
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, industry sales or related business field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Marketing strategy background along with proven inside and outside sales experience to include developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to convey important ideas and concepts to senior management, top executives from key accounts, and hospitality industry leadership in group settings and able to adapt communication style to a number of different audiences.
• Excellent relationship-building skills. Ability to establish and create relationships at all levels with clients and prospect organizations.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple complex projects to completions while seizing emerging opportunities.
• Ability to work with various departments and within varying organizational structures to achieve common goals.
• Ability to multi-task and meet stringent deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Outlook).
• Must be available to travel as required.
• Foreign language skills preferred (Spanish).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team selling environment.
• Prepare and update a sales action plan indicating all future efforts, goals and objectives.
• Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of sales and leads.
• Ability to analyze trends and make strategic recommendation regarding assigned territory.
Availability:
• Must be available to work Monday – Friday and some weekends.
