Shared_Studios seeks a Production Assistant to assist in the production and operation of all Shared_Studios events and public initiatives. Individuals who fill this position will gain broad and extensive exposure to many areas of event construction, promotion, and production, including significant international travel.

Responsibilities/Duties
The Production Assistant role involves a range of responsibilities, including:
Coordinate trucking, shipping, and ground transportation
Coordinate installation of Portal containers and inflatables
Assist in the development and organization of all aspects of event logistics, including agendas, schedules, timelines, task lists, limited data entry, and event programs and scripts.
Assist with all event packing, unloading and reloading
Assist with office-related errands, including drop-offs and pick-ups of materials
On-site Portal curation, including but not limited to staffing live events, speaking about Portals to guests, and facilitating Portals dialogues
Ensuring all appropriate regulations are followed and installations are safe to both personnel and property
Inventory, cleaning, cataloging, and storage of Portals equipment
Building cases, racks, and structures as necessary (comfort with power tools)
Additional tasks as required
Essential Functions:
This position is manual labor intensive. Requirements include:
Frequently moving audio/visual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds around the world for various event and set-up needs
Walking and standing in outdoor weather conditions for up to 8 hours a day
A willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends
Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
Required Experience:
Previous experience in event management/production (1-3 years)
Basic understanding of audio and video technology
Basic understanding of construction
Ability to handle varied levels of multi‐tasking and to adapt to rapidly changing environments
Key Traits:
Broad experience with A/V technology and installations, including manual work
Experience in customer service or customer-facing role
Ability to jump into last minute travel
