Position Overview
The Procurement Coordinator III, (Coordinator, Procurement III) determines specifications for bid solicitation based on meetings with Internal Customers. Negotiates cost, delivery and service terms with suppliers and continuously reviews the market place for new and evolving goods and services, vendors, price trends, delivery trends and buying practices. Monitors supplier performance on an ongoing basis to ensure their reliability, capability, and delivery of goods and services. Gains buy-in from in-house customers for use of approved suppliers. Assists Canon employees in the timely and cost effective requisition of all related purchases. Process all requisitions for assigned commodities through the purchase order system.

Responsibilities
• Focus on routine/daily operational tasks and follow-up items
• Responsible for short-term, task-oriented project targets at the discretion of Supervisor/Manager
• Works with Sr.Specialist/Supervisor to develop resolutions and operational efficiencies
• Primarily responsible for basic qualitative work supporting the strategic and operational direction outlined by the Manager/Senior Manager
• Strong emphasis on purchase order creation/submission/follow-up for various commodities
Qualifications
• Preferably minimum of 3 years experience in the Procurement field
• Associates degree preferred
