Job Purpose: Provide marketing support in Strategic Communications and Brand. Specialist activities include supporting graphic design, marketing production, intranet management, and social media management and vendor relations. Manage travel and scheduling for the VP, and support to the Strategic Communications and Brand Team to manage reporting, book keeping, meetings, and manufacturing of materials. In addition, provide some support on a local level for the San Diego location and administration of LMT (Local management Team San Diego) initiatives. Work as a team member to ensure the objectives of the organization are met.
Support Strategic Communications and Brand
• Provide specialist support to strategic communications and brand activity, including digital asset management and brand intranet. This is the critical resource to mobilize consisting branding throughout the enterprise. Also provide light graphic design (Adobe Illustrator) support, materials creation and management of vendors, manufacture, and distribution including liaison with graphic design and production design. Manage brand finance and billing support. Support social media activity, including SM ad set development and management via SM analytics.
• Create PowerPoint presentations and brand content. Work with vendors to define projects, manage production, arrange distribution. Manufacture collateral materials. Support budget planning. Ability to learn new software, solve problems.
Support VP
• Support VP, including extensive schedule management and travel for VP. Manage staff meetings and appointments, support phones, handle travel arrangement and expense reports.
• Ensuring monthly submissions for monthly report. Maintain consolidation and tracking of several reports with global data sources.
Provide support to team. Handle invoices & confidential information. Assist with monthly budgets and reports. - Track team activity.- Output accuracy and timeliness
Support San Diego Facility as well as Communications team with organizational and administrative skills
• Organize and manage special events
• Assistance for Local Management meetings and stakeholders meetings for Local San Diego location.
• Organize special events as necessary.
• Document w/pictures & post presentations on intranet.
• Keep meetings within budget
• Support San Diego specific programs, meetings, events, and office management.
General Knowledge and Technical Skills
• Web editor, basic Adobe Illustrator preferred, Production and product management skills. Social media advertising (FB ad manager, etc…)
• Command of all Microsoft Office applications. Excel knowledge highly beneficial.
Required Education and Experience
• 4 year degree preferred. Marketing, business, communications or related field.
• Familiarity with science/health markets preferred.
