Requirements
We are looking for a detail-driven, digitally savvy individual with strong multi-tasking skills to join our team as Ad Operations Coordinator, supporting Macmillan’s growing podcast and web network, which serves millions of listeners and users each month.
This is a perfect opportunity for a new professional who has some experience with digital ad operations and is eager to expand that knowledge into podcasting. The Macmillan podcast team supports author podcasts and the long-established Quick and Dirty Tips network, which provides actionable tips via audio and web in areas like grammar, fitness, and parenting.
Responsibilities include:
• Coordinate all aspects of upcoming and ongoing ad campaigns. For digital ads, this is done through the DoubleClick ad serving system. For podcasts, it entails editing and testing copy points and working with hosts on recording and audio file delivery to producer.
• Create media plans/proposals for direct advertisers based on their unique targets and goals
• Team with podcast and digital ad brokers to coordinate execution of and performance assessment of campaigns, including coordination of our monthly ad production schedule
• Ability to adapt strategies and new ad products, processes and technologies with a sound competency and understanding of current digital ad best practices
• Analyze and adjust campaign performance and goals based on discrepancies or client or broker feedback
• Troubleshoot any ad creative issues that affect tracking, implementation, or reporting
Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree required
• 1-2 years of relevant experience within online ad trafficking via DoubleClick or other relevant experience (advertising, media planning, marketing or sales).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple campaigns/clients simultaneously
• Familiarity with podcasts including content, distribution and ad formats preferred
• Strong analytical skills, self-starter and a track record of providing business insights and campaign optimization
• Success in troubleshooting and resolving problems
• Strong attention to detail, excellent follow through and the ability to prioritize within a multitasking environment
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient with MSExcel, MSWord and GoogleDocs
