Summary of Position:
This role is an integral one to Lionsgate, supporting media strategy and execution for one of the most rapidly growing entertainment companies, inside a division where innovation rules the day.You will be at the center of our studio’s transition to a new media agency, getting a chance to help pioneer new design tools, timelines and reporting from the ground up. As the Media Manager, you’ll be a primary point of contact for the media agency, and work closely with the Executive Media Director to develop, implement, and optimize integrated media strategies across 50+ titles a year. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Theatrical, TV Distribution, Premium Cable and OTT to share best practices and vital information across the content lifecycle. And you’ll coordinate with PR, Social, Content, Sales, Strategy, Research and Analytics colleagues to leverage media in new and productive ways.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with the Executive Media Director to produce and execute impactful and efficient integrated media plans, including TV, Digital, Social, Search, and MVPD Media for 50-70 titles per year
• Manage all aspects of each media campaign, in coordination with the agency, including strategic planning, creative project management, implementation, optimization and reporting.
• Develop and disseminate planning briefs, targeting strategies and feedback to agency partners based off of audience insights for each title
• Evaluate campaign performance on an ongoing basis to ensure media is being optimized to drive or exceed growth targets and continue to improve KPI’s and best practices – communicate findings to internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with Analytics team to execute media tests, performance audits and in-depth analyses into consumer behaviors and preferences
• Maintain day-to-day relations with media agency, media vendors, and internal/external partners
• Manage all budgets and timelines for media and creative delivery, ensuring relevant parties stay informed about any changes and meet all obligations
Experience & Skills:
• 2-4 years of experience directly managing media planning, buying, measurement or ops required – preferably at an agency, consultancy, or company with direct exposure to traditional and digital planning and buying
• Thorough understanding of media panning, buying, and reporting across traditional, digital, search and social channels
• Strong familiarity with programmatic media buying, various DSP platforms, ad trafficking, and creative testing
• Experience with media planning and buying tools (Comscore, MRI, Moat, DoubleVerify, DCM, DBM, FB Ads Manager, Adwords), Data Management Platforms (Salesforce, Adobe) and Media Reporting tools (i.Spot, Tableau)
• Demonstrated ability to use data and/or research to make decisions and craft tactical plans a must
• Intermediate competency and fluency in Excel (VLook-up, Pivot Tables) required
• Ability to juggle multiple, competing priorities and projects with poise, polish, confidence and diplomacy – and without close supervision – a must
• Passion for creative, strategic thinking about the consumer and all things entertainment preferred
• An adept collaborator with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Anticipates & proactively addresses challenges/issues
• Bachelors in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Business or a similar field required
