Job Summary
Responsible for managing the Engineering team responsible for security products for Global Network Security issue.
Job Description
• Manage the team responsible for responding to engineering and sales need, such as but not limited to the following infrastructures: Network Intrusion Detection System (NIDS), DDoS Product Offering, Firewalls, VPN Concentrators, Managed Security Services
• Technical Design and Documentation- Experience managing teams that provide technical engineering designs for security services and infrastructure. Provide high quality documentation to hand off responsibility towards security’s support groups.
• Responsible for responding to and investigate escalated security events, such as but not limited to the following security disciplines: Customer facing security products like network based firewalls, CPE firewalls, managed intrusion detection, and other products under development, Vulnerability remediation, Anti-Virus, etc.
• Project work – identify trends based on operations escalations, metrics and develop requirements for scale of our MSS products Responsible for Engineering acceptance of new infrastructure and processes, process development, process refinement, and provide operational guidance
Qualifications
• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in a technical role supporting the telecom sector, including 3+ years in a key security services architectural design / vision development role.
• Typical number of direct reports: 4-6
• Typical number of direct and indirect reports: 10
• Minimum of 4+ years of management experience.
• Intimate knowledge of Managed Security Services industry landscape and platforms including Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, Arbor, Radware as well as Service provider edfge/core devices, service enabling devices, Ethernet switch vendors, etc.
• Good understanding of IP and Ethernet industry landscape including IP Core/edge routers and service enabling devices as well as internal design and makeup of router/switch devices.
• Good interpersonal and communications skills along with the ability to handle an interrupt driven, fast paced environment
• Commercial business experience and experience interacting with CTO level customers and vendors
• Experience working with government programs a plus
Education
Bachelors or Equivalent in Information Systems or Computer Science
