The Atlantic is looking for a strategic marketer and creative thinker to join the customer marketing & growth team. We oversee all paid-content and customer-experience strategies, focusing on growing subscribers, members, and fans. This position is a junior role, supporting the department goals by collaborating working closely with the department’s senior staff and The Atlantic’s data team to use insights and analytics to both increase acquisition and improve the customer experience. This position will also assist with budget and financials as well as help manage our third-party retail partners.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with The Atlantic’s data team to analyze and understand customer behavior
• Use analytics and insights to inform efforts that build loyalty and encourage retention
• Assist with financials, budgeting, and reporting
• Work with third-party vendors authorized to sell The Atlantic, in both digital (Amazon, iOS) and physical (newsstand retailers) formats
• Support circulation ops and fulfillment as well as financial and circulation audits
Qualifications of the Ideal Candidate:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• Skilled communicator, both written and verbal
• Analytical mind and resourceful thinker
• Ability to manage a diverse portfolio
• Experience with data platforms a plus
