KFFN, KMXZ, KQTH and KTGV located in Tucson, Arizona are radio stations owned by E.W. Scripps, a company rich in media history while staying focused on the future. We also have the unique ability to collaborate with our TV station partners, KGUN and KWBA within the same building.
We are seeking a dynamic Radio Digital Content Coordinatorwho will be responsible for maintaining daily content for four radio stations. In addition, the coordinator will assist with on-site events and promotions and along with the promotions manager, represents the station to listeners and clients at promotional events and business meetings. This individual will demonstrate outstanding internal and external customer service and will also be responsible for being the primary contact person for maintaining our digital content.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage digital content daily on all station websites/social media pages and learn our content management system.
• Assist with website marketing and social media marketing efforts.
• Represent our brand values and activities on our stations' websites and social media pages.
• Collaborating with marketing, promotion, programming and sales management.
• Assist in conception and development of new promotions.
• Write/develop/implement, proposals, copy, scripts for sales promotions, listener promotions and on-air contests.
• Designing and producing graphic, photographic, video and text support for promotions, events and initiatives.
• Maintain promotion inventory and assist with department billing as needed.
• Assist in coordination and setup/teardown of all in-station and out-of-station events.
• Responsible for the upkeep and equipment on station vehicles.
• Act as liaison between the promotions department and the rest of the station.
• Assist in the set up and maintenance of equipment while working live or remote broadcasts.
• Maintain listener databases.
• Analyzing performance metrics.
• Collaborating with marketing, promotion, programming and sales management.
• Process all necessary paperwork to maintain FCC compliance.
• Assist in management of promotion staff and other promotion duties as assigned.
• Events may occur on evenings and weekends or with little to no notice requiring a short turnaround.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Excellent communication skills required with the ability to reach out and speak to the public.
• Experience with content management system software.
• Creative thinker/writer.
• Basic photographic technique.
• Strong collaborator.
• Active in the social media space.
• Avid consumer of media, including broadcast radio.
• Highly organized with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
• Strong problem solving and organization skills.
• High work ethic, integrity, and standards and open to being coached.
• Ability to meet deadlines and detail oriented.
• Ability to interact with others in a positive manner, while working and learning in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be energetic and enthusiastic with a high sense of urgency.
• Strong computer skills/design savvy specifically with graphic design/arts, Adobe Photoshop and similar experience.
• Valid driver's license required, Applicants must meet company driver eligibility and vehicle insurance requirements.
Experience/Education:
• Preferred experience in radio promotions but not required.
• Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
• Degree in Marketing preferred but not required.
