Midroll is hiring a Vice President of Content Partnerships to join our team in NYC. In this role, you'll be the primary, senior-level contact responsible for post-sale partner satisfaction, retention and optimization. You'll provide strategic leadership to a team of partnership strategists who optimize relationships with potential and existing partners as well as oversee relationships with both the portfolio of shows that Midroll represents and Stitcher's publishing partners.
What you'll do:
• Manage the partnership strategist team who is responsible for partnership optimization.
• Develop and execute on annual plan to ensure relationships with podcasters and publishers remain engaged and well-served.
• Expand the scope of partnership activities to drive higher levels of retention and increased monetization (new show development, etc.).
• Oversee onboarding and on-going management of Midroll's portfolio of shows.
• Negotiate renewals with flagship (top-tier) partners.
• Calculate and analyze revenue performance on a per-show/network basis, and ensure yield optimization on at least a quarterly basis; working with the SVP of Sales to maximize revenue from the portfolio.
• Ensure best practices for all partner-related processes (onboarding, ad approval, ad fulfillment, reporting, etc.), confirming both podcasters / publishers and Midroll fulfill all obligations to each other according to contract.
• Provide feedback and product requirements for the internal Midroll app to those responsible for design/development.
What you bring:
Education & Experience/Certifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher required; MA/MS/MBA a plus
• 6-8 years of senior experience in partnership development
• 2-3 years of relationship strategy design and implementation
Skills & Abilities
• Previous experience with increasing revenue through maximizing partner/talent relationships.
• Knowledge of the podcasting industry and understanding the potential of the medium.
• Understanding of the economics of digital media industries, both ad-driven and subscription based.
• Top-notch interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Experience documenting, improving and scaling partner management and/or customer relationship processes.
• An advanced level of Excel or Google Sheets skills required as well as the ability to collect, analyze and present on data findings.
