Who You Are:
The Senior Manager, International Tax is a problem solver who loves a challenge, has strong tax technical skills as well as a solid understanding of US GAAP. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 to 9 years of experience with consistent advancement into more complex roles. Experience includes at least 3 years in a position with exposure to international operations and corresponding impacts under US tax and accounting rules.
Your Next Challenge:
The Senior International Tax Senior Manager will play a key role within the tax department and should be viewed as a trusted business advisor within the Company. This position focuses on operational tax planning issues, transactions, and overall support within the department and business. This position will also have responsibility for certain international components of the federal income tax return and US GAAP provision, including computations of Subpart F and Section 956 inclusions, Section 861 expense apportionment calculations, and review of Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 1118 and related attachments. This position will have extensive interaction with other specialty areas within the Tax Department to coordinate information with regard to international tax planning and compliance projects.
Job Responsibilities
• Work with International Accounting team to develop and implement the company’s global transfer pricing strategy and policies, including review of GAAP and Local Statutory accounts to ensure transactions are properly reflected. Assist with managing and developing tax-planning strategies.
• Assume responsibility for the calculation of US international tax attributes such as earnings and profits, tax basis, tax pools, etc.
• Assume responsibility for review/preparation of Form 1118, including sourcing of income and allocation of expenses.
• Provide information to the tax accounting team on relevant issues impacting tax accounting, documentation of tax positions, including ASC 740 (FIN 48).
• Support U.S. and non-U.S. tax audit related matters.
• Assist with tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, and liquidations of entities.
• Assist with contributor and customer withholding tax returns and issues, including implementation of internal policy and procedure.
• Perform research on tax issues and prepare memoranda with conclusions.
What You’ll Need:
• Minimum of 6 years’ tax experience, public accounting/private industry mix preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities.
• Willingness to directly prepare working papers and tax planning analyses in a "roll-up-your sleeves" environment.
• Ability to interface with diverse external tax advisors, tax auditors and internal departments, including internal audit, diplomatically and professionally.
• Excellent planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, oral and written communications skills require.
• BS Accounting
• CPA, MS in Taxation or LL.M. in taxation from an accredited university
