Position Overview
Autodesk is looking for a Senior Manager to lead its Brand Strategy team in San Francisco. The Senior Brand Manager will help Autodesk become a top global brand, by partnering with marketers, research teams, and business groups to strengthen our brand across a variety of initiatives. This role will participate in projects that touch many aspects of our business, helping to translate business strategies into brand strategies and brand execution. The Senior Brand Manager will influence marketing and product partners, to bring consistency and quality in all that’s being created by Autodesk business partners and agencies.
This position supports the Senior Director of Brand Strategy & Design, as well as senior business leaders. You will conducting analyses to answer key questions or issues facing the business. With high-level guidance, you will structure analyses that deliver understanding of market dynamics, competition, and profitability levers.
The Senior Brand Manager will be the main brand advocate or brand evangelist. You will build a brand community that brings the brand to life in the hearts and minds of both Autodesk employees and our global customer base. You connect the efforts of various internal teams that focus on customer success, and establishes a point-of-view and future action that aligns with our corporate strategy and the customer-success focused divisions. You also will identify relevant customer journeys and the best ways to reach customers, as well as the cultural implications for customers and prospects.
Responsibilities
• Work with market research partners on brand-related research projects to ensure effective gathering of and use of insights in brand strategy work
• Run analyses to determine effectiveness of marketing efforts and its effects on brand health
• Create, socialize, and implement tools, including guidelines, to keep the organization current on brand strategy to ensure consistency and high quality of output across the company
• Help guide creative agencies that work with the Autodesk brand to ensure they follow our guiding principles and deliver top quality creative executions
• Provide updates on the current state of branding, of the Autodesk brand, and on the competitive landscape
• Identifying trends and opportunities in tech experience branding landscape
Minimum Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience in brand development
• Strategic mindset that will deliver inspiring and creative programs that align with business objectives
Preferred Qualifications
• You are a conceptual, systems thinker with a strong analytical side who flourishes in complex environments
• Thrive as a self-starter, and ability to progress in a fast-paced and changing environment
• Ability to get large teams focused on common goals
• Experience effectively managing creative agency relationships
• Proven ability to work cross-functionally across multiple disciplines
• Extraordinary communication and relationship skills, including success selling concepts to senior leadership
• Deep understanding of brand strategy and brand tactics
• Experience with various brand initiatives including positioning, naming, design, etc.
