The Director, Business Development will serve as an integral member of the Conde Nast Digital Business Development team and a leader in the digital organization, working across all Conde Nast brands. The position will be based in New York City.
Primary Responsibilities: The strategic assessment of key digital industries, identification of potential partners, helping to determine the best approach to market, supporting the negotiation of deal terms for new and renewed contracts and management of partnerships, all to develop new revenue streams and enhance consumer exposure to all the Conde Nast brands.
General responsibilities will include:
• Leading contract and business development negotiations with new content distribution partners, technology partners and strategic partnerships
• Formulating and operationalize key strategic initiatives for CN digital
• Preparing presentations, business plans and financial models
• Serving as key liaison between CN and distribution partners to maximize strategic opportunities with existing partners
• Sourcing new business development and strategy opportunities
• Supporting internal constituents to execute key partnerships and drive revenue diversification goals
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experiences and qualities:
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant work experience
• Expertise in digital media and the evolving business models of media required
• Proven expertise in preparing presentations, business plans and financial models
• Relevant experience in business development, management consulting and/or investment banking
• Highly motivated, self-starting, and able to move quickly in a rapidly changing environment
• Strong presentation and Excel skills a must
• MBA strongly preferred
