We are looking for a highly motivated, pro-active, and creative Associate Producer to join our Washington Bureau's weekend news program "America's News Headquarters." As an Associate Producer for the Fox News Washington Bureau you will work to book, write, and produce segments for the 12p-2p Saturday and 1p-2p Sunday shows. We are looking for a team player that possesses strong communication skills and works well under pressure.
A snapshot of your responsibilities include:
• Gathering editorial information and video
• Covering events and issues
• Generate story ideas and produce live shots
• Identifying news and selecting video and sound bites
• Oversee editing, conduct interviews and write stories for television and digital platforms
Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of television news experience
• Strong editorial judgment and logistical skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and intense atmosphere
• Strong writing skills
• Motivated, self-starter who is able to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Flexibility to work day/night/weekend shifts
• Familiarity with iNews
• Understanding of tapeless workflow in a newsroom
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize is a necessity
You are masterfully skillful at:
• Finding the best part of a story and making it matter to a national audience
• Being creative and thinking ‘outside the box’
Bonus points for:
• Knowledge of and experience covering national politics
• Knowledge of and experience covering Congress
