Description
The Scheduling Coordinator will be responsible for entry of the NGC schedule on a monthly basis and as changes and updates occur, as well as general database maintenance. Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for communicating the schedule with internal and external partners while also assisting the Director and Manager with various projects and responsibilities. The position requires a keen eye for detail along with strong organizational, time management and communication skills. The Scheduling Coordinator must have a passion for the television industry, a willingness to take on new responsibilities, and must be able to handle work both independently and while also collaborating in a team environment.
Responsibilities
• Scheduling Database Management
◦ Total ownership of NGC schedule entry on a monthly basis and as changes and updates occur
◦ Ensure accuracy of NGC programming and broadcast
• Manage NGC Listings Process
◦ Send formatted urgent schedule updates to listings providers; perform regular audit reports of listings and notify appropriate teams if inaccuracies are discovered. Communicate title, v-chip and description updates as appropriate.
◦ Ensure accuracy of the Channel’s schedule in EPGs and printed TV listings
• Competitive
◦ Update competitive tracker and communicate information to the team regularly. As well as doing additional research as requested.
◦ Team has a comprehensive reference for competitive information to use for key scheduling decisions.
• Titles
◦ Coordinate title process by tracking deadlines, sending title suggestions for approval to Development, Production and Programming, submission of titles to Business & Legal Affairs for clearance, and communicating final titles and changes to Channel
◦ Titles cleared and updated in a timely manner
• Non-Linear
◦ Schedule and deliver metadata, images, creative and video to support multiplatform outlets.
◦ Provide content to customers via multiplatform outlets for revenue and brand building purposes.
◦ Serve as a point of contact for basic inquiries from internal partners.
◦ Schedule is clearly communicated to all necessary groups for accurate broadcast.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree Required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• Basic understanding of Nielsen ratings a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Aptitude for designing and creating visually appealing presentations. Willingness and desire to learn new programs and skills.
