Description
Full-time position in an artist studio as the facility and construction manager. Reports to the artist and works with other staff members within the studio.
Ideal candidate has background and experience in general contracting and/or architecture. Candidate would be responsible to oversees all renovations and construction on studio and residential buildings. This includes a scope of things, from maintenance to working with advanced design, construction, engineering or architecture plans. Would work as main point person/liaison with contractors, architects, vendors, city officials, on daily and on-going projects. All project are currently locally based but there are future possibilities of projects outside of Los Angeles.
Must have strong administrative experience and skills, position has a heavy admin focus as well.
Must have experience with managing and tracking construction budgets.
Must be familiar and comfortable with reading of design plans, blueprints, scaled models, etc.
Must be diligent with time and calendar management and planning.
Must be self-directed, vigilant, assertive, and a good clear communicator.
Must be conscientious, frim but respectful, and ultimately enjoy the hustle and achievements that come with it.
Right candidate is someone who anticipates problems and can suggest right course of action.
Persistence, organization, and self-initiative are key to the position and its responsibilities.
Position is within high paced environment that requires the ability to manage more than one thing at a time.
Candidates must currently live in Los Angeles, have a valid CA state driver’s license with reliable car and clean driving record. Health benefits and 401k provided.
Salary commensurate with experience.
Full-time, 5 day a week schedule with possibility of work off hours.
