Marketing Manager - Avery, TarcherPerigee
Penguin Random House is seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Manager to join the Avery and TarcherPerigee imprints. Working under the Senior Manager, this role will implement marketing strategies into fully developed campaigns, oversee all aspects of marketing for assigned titles, and focus on specific department goals. This is an excellent opportunity to work with titles in the cookbook, health and wellness, and mind, body, spirit categories.
Specific responsibilities include:
1. Planning and implementing creative marketing campaigns for a number of titles each month.
2. Creating and executing marketing plans to leverage backlist titles.
3. Analyzing and interpreting audience data to cultivate audience development strategies.
4. Establishing relationships with online influencers appropriate to imprint subject matters.
5. Communicating with authors throughout campaigns to leverage and build their online platforms, which include e-newsletters and websites.
6. Creating and managing content for the imprints’ social media platforms.
7. Attending internal meetings on behalf of the Marketing department and providing updates to the team.
8. Creating detailed timelines and social media posts for authors as needed.

• Minimum of 4 years of marketing experience; publishing experience a plus
• Genuine interest in nonfiction books
• Possesses a keen understanding of book marketing
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; ability to learn proprietary systems
• Knowledge of Facebook Business Manager and Google applications a plus
