Position Type: Regular - Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Manager, Content Strategy and News, works with the Director, Content to guide Spoke's audio content strategy. This includes advising and managing producers on audio content curation, community management and metadata management, and managing a production staff on the presentation of audio on a social platform. The Manager also identifies and engages potential content partners and runs Spoke's newsletter and social media production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Advise a team of news, sports and entertainment producers on their management of audio communities. This includes managing output for podcast content, SiriusXM content and other metadata work.
• Oversee social media strategy and publishing, and monitor and report on relevant metrics.
• Oversee newsletter strategy, targeting, creative and distribution, and monitor and report on relevant metrics.
• Work with deal teams to identify and engage content partners. Lead partner outreach in the news, sports and entertainment verticals.
• Manage topic areas and their communities.
• Discover/identify relevant audio content from both inside and outside SiriusXM.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage 5-10 Content Curation Producers.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 3-5 years of content creation or curation experience.
• 1-2 years of experience overseeing strategy on a content vertical or content community.
• 1-2 years of management experience in a similar industry.
• Application of excellent judgment skills in knowing which content should have the greatest visibility and priority at any given moment.
• Expert in social media, particular Facebook and Twitter.
• Experience programming content-rich newsletters.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.

• Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
• Thorough knowledge of MS-Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Adobe Audition a plus.
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop a plus.
• Experience in a content management system a plus.
