Position Overview
Successfully establish, analyze and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for all National Transportation operations to include third party as well as PSAV’s internal truck fleet. Oversee costs and make recommendations across all modes of transportation to drive savings initiatives and support all transportation needs across PSAV’s network. This individual is responsible to develop and implement strategies that position the company's private fleet to efficiently and effectively support the company's near- and long-term business objectives. This position will report to the Director of Operations.
Key Job Responsibilities
Third Party Transportation Management
• Manage PSAV’s relationship with all third party core and back-up carriers including small parcel, LTL, Truckload and International transportation. Refine and drive current carrier performance expectations and manage compliance to contractual agreements.
• Track and manage carrier failures and damages.
• Optimize transportation cost savings initiatives and work closely with carriers to increase value added services.
• Audit and issue invoice approvals in compliance with the standard timelines. Any exceptions to the protocol should be expedited to ensure that the expense is allocated to the shipping locations P&L in a timely manner.
• Support Field Operations and Branch locations in resolving all transportation order changes, special requests, and freight requirements, and serve as the primary escalation point for branch and field operations when transportation requests and challenges arise.
Internal Fleet Management
• Develop, identify, and implement fleet strategies and best practices in safety and compliance, routing and dispatch and driver management throughout fleet operations.
• Drive continuous service, cost, fleet utilization and efficiency improvements.
• Train and provide guidance to our internal fleet dispatchers and drivers to ensure accuracy, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Act as the primary telematics system administrator designed to improve our internal truck fleet’s performance. Manage vendor relationship with telematics software provider.
• Maintain open communication with drivers, customers, and all internal operations and support areas.
• Oversee DOT compliance and reporting as it relates to the fleet and drivers.
• Develop and report metrics pertinent to fleet operations including participation in the yearly budgeting process for the fleet.
Cost Analysis & Information Management
• Manage onboarding of users through various training tools and platforms. Monitor usage to ensure a high level of compliance.
• Analyze and identify trends within the process to ensure a smooth workflow among internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive results through historical data collection and market trend analytics, leading to actionable processes and metrics.
• Create and maintain SOPs and best practice documents for multiple areas within transportation.
• Design transportation strategies and tactics that drive efficiencies across PSAV’s transportation network with a strong focus on continuous improvement and an efficient balance between private and vendor managed fleets.
• Maintain database with current carrier rates.
• Maintain and update routing guides for both internal fleet and third party carriers.
• Consolidate carrier pool to increase volume cost savings opportunities.
• Review the current carrier network and RFP/test additional freight forwarders to ensure competitive pricing and superior service levels on a quarterly basis.
• Ensure International shipment and documentation compliance, as well as implementation and control of Carnet shipments when applicable.
• Work with corporate Procurement team to maintain item master data information as it pertains to NAFTA requirements.
Required Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or Business preferred.
• 5-7 years of transportation experience working within a transportation distribution network supporting numerous national operation teams.
• 2-3 years of experience managing internal fleet operations using telematics systems.
• Proven vendor management skills required in order to create, maintain, and enhance collaborative, cost-effective service relationships.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically and develop short/long term plans that optimize existing and new systems and processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral, written, and presentation) with ability to present at all levels.
• Ability to prioritize work and work accurately under pressure of deadlines with frequent interruptions
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Internet Explorer.

Work Environment
Hotel
Work is performed in a hotel/convention center environment with moderate exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members will use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components, and will be exposed to heights via lifts and ladders. Team members may be asked to work in multiple hotel locations. Working times will include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based on an individual hotel or a representation of hotels in that city or area.

Work is performed at event venues as well as in a warehouse environment. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based in a warehouse environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area. When in the Warehouse, work will be completed in an environment with exposure to outdoor temperatures and to dirt, sand and/or dust. The working conditions will vary between moderately quiet to noisy volumes. Team members may use high-end audio visual equipment and electrical components.
