Job Summary
Technical Training is a team of training specialists working consultatively with the North American Operations and Product Development & Technology organizations.

Job Description
Provide highly technical training and contribute technical expertise to the development, evaluation, and implementation of new principles, processes, and applications targeted for those employees specifically in the Engineering, Planning and Construction organizations. Courses may range from computer systems to daily job duties necessary for the Engineering & Construction employees.
• Facilitates classroom, blended and virtual programs in support of current and evolving technologies.
• Maintains a positive learning environment and hold students accountable while being in accordance with union contracts and HR policies.
• Evaluates effectiveness of training programs through both formal and informal evaluation methods by reviewing team resources: including Level 1 Feedback, Facilitation observations, etc. and identifies, selects, or adapts training courses, tools, and/or training aides to intended audience.
• Partners with managers and Engineering, Planning and Construction organizations to understand the learning needs & expected outcomes from their business areas and engage resources from the team to create solutions.
• Develops a relationship with assigned internal customers to establish ongoing consideration of training effectiveness and efficiency.
• Researches, analyzes, and recommends appropriate training programs. This may also include making recommendations regarding modifications to the design of the material being provided.
• Develops and upgrade appropriate Lab Systems to support developed curriculum and maximize hands on learning opportunities.
• Assists in developing and certifying other instructors.
• Coaches and supports employees outside of the classroom to ensure successful application of skills and knowledge gained in the classroom.
• Maintains records of training activities and employee progress.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education and 6 - 8 years of relevant experience providing highly technical training.
• 3-5 years of progressive professional experience instructing supporting processes and technologies for Engineering, Planning and Construction, outside and/or inside plant.
• Knowledge and/or experience with operational systems to include FW/BM, NDS, JDS, WFMT, TIRKS, ARMOR, AutoCAD, MicroStation preferred.
• Must have extensive experience in training, facilitation, presentation, coaching, influencing, process development, analysis, problem solving, and communication.
• Must possess strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization skills.
• Must demonstrate excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize appropriately.
• Strong desire to work in a fast paced and constantly changing environment is a must.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
Preferred Qualifications:
• 2 - 4 years of related experience.
• Demonstrates successful experience in training facilitation, presentation, coaching, influencing, and communication at multiple levels of the organization.
• Demonstrates facilitation and coaching skills.
• Demonstrates skills in effectively conducting training in the following forums: one-on-one, classroom or virtual learning utilizing web conferencing tools, Adobe Connect, and other tools. Knowledge and understanding of E-learning environments and programs is presumed.
