Position Overview
The Associate Specialist, Corporate Benefits provides analytical support for employee benefit programs including health, life, disability and wellness plans. This role also assists in the execution of benefit programs and events.
Responsibilities
• Administer health and welfare programs including Canon medical, dental, vision, flexible spending account, life insurance, and disability.
• Interpret benefit plan rules and policies to ensure that benefits are administered as intended and in compliance with federal and state laws.
• Assist employees with complex benefits by using specialized knowledge, skills and benefits materials (SPD, enrollment guides, etc).
• Ensure new hires elect their benefits within the given timeframe.
• Process and substantiate Life Events including verification of documentation.
• Promote, coordinate and execute of wellness programs and events.
• Participate in the annual benefit enrollment period including, but not limited to, testing the enrollment data base and assisting employees with their enrollment and/or enrollment inquiries.
• Maintain 100% confidentiality with regard to employee/company data.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 1 year of Benefits experience
