Job Title:
Senior Copywriter
Job Summary:
The Senior Copywriter is a polished communicator capable of solving communication challenges and developing original solutions; someone who can help conceptualize and translate concepts into effective web-based projects.
Mandatory experience with 360 copywriting is a must!
These responsibilities include creating and communicating web copy and campaigns. The Senior Copywriter will work with and lead a pitch team with an Art Director and CD. Balancing creative thinking with interpersonal skills, this person will demonstrate the ability to review and justify concepts to both the client and the project team.
Responsibilities:
• Works with the ACD and department team to develop concepts for content creation and copywriting for a CPG client.
• Follows creative briefs by interpreting instructions and disseminating results to team members in an effective manner.
• Writes, revises and edits all copy for websites and other interactive communications projects.
• Works collectively with an art director and one or more designers and manages any freelance copy needs.
• Reviews the work of project teams, taking consistency of design and messaging, strategic accuracy and adherence to client goals and brand guidelines into account.
• Delivers products in a timely fashion to meet set deadlines.
Qualifications:
• 3+ years of professional copywriting experience (in advertising or marketing communications) – strong WEB experience a must.
• Portfolio with samples of at least some of the following marketing types: websites and 360 campaigns.
• Basic familiarity with digital channels.
• Extremely detail-oriented.
• Strong writing and editorial skills.
• Fast and flexible worker.
• Proven ability to understand complex information and translate it into effective copy.
• Proven ability to turn around large projects quickly and accurately.
• Strong interpersonal skills, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative agency environment with multi-disciplinary teams required.
• The ability to successfully organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment is a must.
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Business Writing, Advertising or related discipline, minimum of five (3) years relevant work experience in copywriting, strong attention to details, team orientation and communication skills along with excellent proofreading skills are essential requirements
