Director of Branded Content, W
W Magazine is seeking a creative, visually driven digital editor to join our team as Director of Branded Content. Equal parts content strategist and storytelling innovator, you’ll partner across editorial and sales to deliver branded partners engaging new ways to bring their products to life on W’s site and social platforms. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience running multimedia branded content across a fashion or culture digital platforms, has a strong command of social platform reach and optimization, is an extraordinarily detailed project manager, and has proven success partnering across departments to create high-performing branded programs. Most of all, they should be passionate about developing engaging branded content that marries W’s hallmark editorial vision with clients’ goals.
Responsibilities
• Work with editors and sales to pitch polished, on-brand multimedia creative concepts that help brand partners achieve their goals while fitting in seamlessly with W’s signature editorial content.
• Serve as nimble creative partner to clients, liaising with them to ensure campaign goals are met and challenges are resolved in a timely, professional manner.
• Manage all branded campaigns from concept to execution, including overseeing photo shoots, video production, live social experiences, and/or onsite CMS integration in partnership with editorial and product teams to ensure all client objectives are met.
• Innovate new branded concepts across social platforms.
Skills and Requirements:
• Highly organized, with successful project management experience and deadline-driven problem-solving skills
• Able to understand and respond to data and analytics reporting across digital platforms
• Experience managing content production, working with talent, photographers, videographers, and digital producers on set
• Ability brainstorm and pitch data-informed, visually powerful ideas that show a strong understanding of what makes native social content succeed across platforms
• Experience successfully managing branded campaigns across digital platforms
• Nimble at problem-solving in a fast-paced environment
• Experience working on fashion and/or beauty campaigns is preferred but not required
