Job Summary:
The person in this hybrid marketing position will be responsible for researching, planning, writing, and editing game release collateral materials and end-user documentation for Scientific Games products. This position acquires and organizes basic source material, including raw video game footage for imagery, editing, and composing for Sales training purposes and production of printed materials. Additionally, this position uses internal databases to create web pages for products. This candidate must be a responsible, accurate, and supportive team player.
Essential Job Functions:
• Prepares documents and video footage using input and guidance provided by subject matter experts
• Gathers, extracts, and researches technical information
• Communicates with game designers and other personnel to become familiar with product features and technology
• Maintains existing user, reference, technical documentation, and game information for gaming product release and distribution
• Understands the development cycle of technical documentation
Position Requirements
Qualifications:
Education:
College degree in English, Communications, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience: 3-5 years of Technical Writing/Documentation or Information Management experience
Preferred Experience:
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
• Excellent working skills in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, AfterEffects, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Attention to detail and the ability to work on several projects at once under changing deadlines while maintaining a focus on accuracy and consistency are necessary
• Command of the English language and grammar is essential
• Experience in proofreading and editing is a plus
• Ability to explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a coherent manner
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with strong interpersonal skills
• Aptitude for quickly learning new software applications and computer video processes
• A strong attention to department and company standards is a must
• A team player with an adaptable and responsive attitude
• Leadership qualities would be a definite plus
