Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Manager, Paid Social Media is responsible for developing and managing paid social media strategy and analytics across A+E Networks portfolio of brands: A&E, HISTORY and Lifetime.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work with Director on translating overall marketing strategy to actionable social strategy
• Assist in the development and project management process of all paid social media campaigns across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Reddit and eventually YouTube
• Manage external agency on the execution, reporting, legal and billing of paid campaigns, including assisting with other internal teams’ paid social strategies (Digital Audience Development, CRM Acquisition, Ad Sales, Corporate, etc.)
• Manage Coordinator, Paid Social Media in the development of copy, creative requests, asset calendars, and scheduling of posts
• Act as a liaison between Social, Marketing, Brand Creative, and agencies for asset gathering and strategizing
• Champion the value of mobile-optimized creative and social best practices, continually sharing data and ideating opportunities for custom creative executions
• Track performance and benchmarks of campaigns, dynamically pivoting campaign strategy based on real-time insights
• Research and share new industry trends, competitive paid social wins and keep up to date with new platform offerings
Qualification Requirements
• 3-5 years of paid social marketing experience, with strong preference for specialization in entertainment marketing
• Strong agency management experience, specifically with media planning, execution and analytics
• Self-motivated, extremely detail oriented and independent worker with strong track record of cross functional collaboration and problem solving
• Pervasive positive attitude despite the challenges of juggling multiple projects and personalities
• Passion for pop culture and television
