National Broadcast Media Supervisor
Overview:
The Media Supervisor plays a key role in managing the day to day client relationship by assuring strategic stewardship of the account to meet the clients’ needs and business objectives. The Media Supervisor provides strategic direction and is a source of marketing/direct response media expertise and innovation for their clients. He or she leads media plan development and implementation, including ongoing and insightful performance reporting and optimization recommendations to maximize return on investment.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end strategic planning, creation, execution and optimization of all direct media campaigns in line with client business objectives
• Develop strong collaboration between cross-functional teams (buying, research, internal and external agency partners, vendors, finance)
• Create clear performance metrics and develop associated reports that measure KPIs
• Analyze historical and current campaign results to optimize learning and ensure continuous improvement
• Assume fiscal responsibility for assigned accounts
• Proactively explore and recommend ways to further service and grow the client relationship
• Ensure that agency resources and staff are managed efficiently and provide an environment that fosters the development and ongoing learning of junior staff
• Respond to client media requests
• Coordinate with the buying and billing teams for execution and billing of media buys
• Keep abreast of industry trends and proactively apply to assigned clients
• Provide POV recommendations as needed, typically with a direct response focus
• Process and analyze competitive media activity in the marketplace
• Participate in new business as needed
Minimum Requirements:
• 3-4 years direct response agency experience and proven track record developing integrated direct response programs using both online and offline channels and being held responsible for campaign results
• Strong analytical skills and proven success in utilizing and interpreting large data sets and analytics to quantify and improve results
• Ability to take leadership role with clients and cross-functional teams
• Ability to work independently, or supervise direct reports
• Strong understanding and practical application of media concepts and media math
• Experience with media research and analytics tools including MRI, Adviews, Attribution, and R/F software
• Experience in national and local direct response media planning
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, and sometimes involved, written or oral instructions
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Detail-oriented, good follow through, able to multi-task, and work well under tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Affluent in PowerPoint and Excel; experience with pivot tables a must
