Job Description
Ubisoft Entertainment, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Senior Business Analyst (Digital Planner) for its Strategic Planning & Analysis department. The position is based in San Francisco, CA and will report to the Sr. Manager, Digital Analysis. This individual will be assigned to support digital console 1st party accounts (Microsoft, Sony, Nintendo) in an analytical, reporting and strategic business planning role.
Responsibilities:
• Incorporate financial modeling, situation analysis and problem diagnosis to support business decisions and monitor and report on overall trends and performance.
• Forecast and recap sales for digital promotions and provide recommendations for life cycle management.
• Lead reporting around new release game performance and account-level trends, projecting digital net revenue to compare with financial targets.
• Research 1st parties’ digital data and provide thought leadership around key insights.
• Identify and drive business opportunities by understanding digital product lifecycles, product segment relationships, 1st party trends, digital share evolution and the competitive landscape.
• Provide actionable insights and analyses to internal teams and business partners using a combination of internal, retailer and market-level data.
• Support BI and Business Reporting Team validate 1st Parties data in data warehouse
• Lead special ad hoc projects when requested by upper management.
• Occasional travel required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with coursework in statistics, math and/or business required; MBA preferred.
• 5 years of experience in business planning.
•Candidate must be detail oriented and show strong analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work efficiently under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Strong willing to take ownership, initiate changes and beat expectations.
• Ability to interact with clients (internal and external) in a professional manner, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Outcome driven: apply data & analytics effectively to make profitable business decisions for Ubisoft while accurately modeling our business.
• Process oriented & collaboration: execute on the deliverables of our business while managing the needs of our customers (internally and externally) to build partnerships and optimize sales plans.
• Data expertise: be proficient in business intelligence tools such as Excel, PPT, Tableau, Microstrategy, NPD and other reporting tools. Knowing database and SQL is a plus.
• Passion for the video game entertainment industry required.
