JOB SUMMARY
The team member in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. A Senior Information Systems Support Specialist is responsible for providing experienced technical knowledge and training of IS Support Specialists according to a formal training program. Produce written procedures for all Corporate Data Center daily operations. Insures solutions for user problems and information systems projects are completed on time. Provide project management, vendor relations and superior problem diagnostic skills. Providing excellent communications skills, this position is responsible for 1st or 2nd level user assistance. This contact may occur in a one-to-one personal situation or remotely by means of remote phone support. Effective management of the “Service Call” process by means of documentation, problem diagnosis, problem resolution and follow-up support also comprise job functions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following statements are intended as general examples of the duties of this position and are not all-inclusive for specific positions. Other reasonable duties may be assigned.
• Effective management of Service Calls. Problem Reporting, Problem Research, Problem Diagnosis and Problem Resolution.
• Effective review and monitoring of all AS400 applications to include: AS400 hardware and operating system licenses.
• Effective review and monitoring of Microsoft Active Directory fileserver and data communications equipment.
• In Depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.
• Provide Maintenance of Personal Computers and associated computer equipment.
• In conjunction with the Corporate and property IS manager provides expertise and implementation services on new software and hardware installations
• Participate in project management for Information Systems to include user communication, planning, design, implementation & support.
• Self-motivated to acquire systems & applications knowledge.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to perform assigned duties under constant time pressures and multi-task.
Ability to perform assigned duties in an interruptive office.
Occasional travel required.
EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Prefer a two-year degree in Information Systems.
Prefer a least two years of experience in the Corporate Data Operations Center
