PM Precision is a Publicis Media centralized team, designed to complement and assist agency-embedded programmatic specialists in delivering data-informed, tech-enabled value to clients. Job Description
The VP, Product Marketing’s main responsibilities are to:
• Create, implement and own the Product Marketing process (marketing calendar, identifying press opportunities, collateral, product adoption measurement, best practices, distribution strategy and more) across all relevant PM Precision capabilities / related departments:
◦ PM Precision (Disclosed + Guaranteed Deals/Outcomes)
◦ APEX
◦ PMX
• Manage a five-person team tasked with the delivery of consistent, compelling and timely client-facing collateral that:
◦ Aids the PM Precision Brand Development (aka Sales) team in increasing revenue across our solutions suite, or
◦ Is used to train Brand Development (aka Sales) and Client Strategy on new products and capabilities
• Aid Product Strategy in the development of new solutions, particularly around value proposition, go-to-market strategy, pricing and more
• Assist Brand Development and Client Strategy on high-visibility client requests
• Have a close relationship with the Ad Operations, Client Strategy and other relevant teams to ensure all capabilities, ad specs and sales planning materials are accurate for new and existing products
Ways to get inspired for creation of collateral include:
• Daily reading of trades (AdExchanger, eMarketer reports, relevant social handles etc.)
• Attendance at key team meetings across relevant departments and teams
• Research on marketing efforts across our competitive set
• Periodic check-ins with the Brand Development organization to gather real-time marketplace intel
Examples of collateral include:
• Decks
• Internal sales guides
• One-sheeters
• Product descriptions / illustrations
• Company-wide templates
• One-off creative requests that can be used for company blog and social efforts
Required skills:
• Exceptional written skills
• Strong visual skills and competency with MS Office
• Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
Additional responsibilities include:
• Routine delivery of materials in accordance to a marketing calendar/schedule will be expected
• Introduction of creative/marketing queue to help manage expectations and deadlines across teams
• Routine communication to internal teams on upcoming collateral
How this role will be measured for success:
• Accurate and impactful delivery of marketing calendar
• Successfully implemented best practices re: collateral creation, distribution strategy, product adoption measurement, and more
• Positive receptivity to collateral from agency teams, as relayed to Brand Development, with some directly contributing to increased bookings
• A highly-functioning and happy team working for you
This role’s time will be split out as follows:
• 100% as outlined above, reporting directly into the SVP Client & Product Strategy
Qualifications
• 7+ years of digital marketing experience, with broader industry knowledge across publishers/platforms/agencies/clients and their relationships
• Product Marketing experience with SaaS products is a plus
• Client strategy or planning experience a plus
• A bachelor’s degree (preferably in a relevant field of study)
• Proven track record of team management (ideally 5+ direct reports) and material creation, distribution and adoption
• Developed, technical knowledge of programmatic, RTB, and mobile required
• Verbal, visual and written communications skills
• Analytical, strategic, creative, and a self-starter
