Job Summary:
The HR Director has operations responsibility for the CA Region HR team and manages programs and projects for various HR programs and initiatives, including but not limited to compensation, analytics, and HRIS-related projects and activities. This person builds valuable relationships with internal clients and with region/division/HQ Human Resources groups and develops programs and strategies that assist in meeting business objectives. The HR Director also provides leadership and direction for a team of human resources professionals and has responsibility for developing and managing budget. Lastly, the HR Director serves as a business partner to Finance, External Affairs, and other region client groups and participates in the development of Human Resources objectives, philosophy, and strategic planning in relation to programs and initiatives that align with Company and Division business objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• In partnership with other CA Region HR and business leadership, develop and manage operational calendar for CA HR team. Partner with and support HR leadership to execute calendar priorities and initiatives.
• In partnership with CA Region HR, develop weekly HR staff agendas, offsite HR agendas, and ensure Region HR agendas are aligned with WD HR initiatives and metrics expectations.
• Develop strategic partnerships with and serve as primary contact to various Human Resources partners (division and HQ shared services and centers of excellence).
• Serve as project manager for large-scale projects and initiatives impacting various client groups including but not limited to the HR budget, performance management process, compensation planning, HRIS-related projects, and employee engagement surveys' (i.e. YourVoice, Best Place to Work).
• Create, maintain, and ensure quality assurance of key human resources data sets, reports, and metrics. Use technology and analytical tools to develop and analyze enterprise-wide people metrics and other cross-functional data as needed.
• Support the HR team and business leaders to identify business challenges and use data analysis to help influence changes to the operations, process or programs.
• Communicate data findings to management through formal presentations, standard management reporting on a periodic/quarterly/annual basis.
• Serves as the domain expert for human capital analytics.
• Analyze, recommend, and implement strategies to improve effectiveness of HR projects and programs.
• Manage HRIS transactions and reporting through partnerships with HR shared services and Payroll for CA Region.
• Lead and develop a team of HR professionals.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Develops, implements, and coordinates policies and procedures for the Human Resources department to establish and maintain an effective department through managing, advising, and motivating department employees.
• Counsels management and employees on disciplinary actions and performance problems.
• Provides support, direction, and coaching for training and development programs.
• Oversees government, legal, and regulatory requirements and/or complaints in various areas.
• Maintains an efficient recruitment/interviewing function to ensure adequate staffing at all levels.
• Develops Human Resources strategies for business groups that includes workforce planning, pay-for performance, talent management, talent acquisition, and succession.
• Partners with business leaders to achieve organization and business alignment.
• Leads department personnel, including direct supervision, hiring, training, and performance management.
• Partners with senior management to develop strategic HR goals, policies, and programs that align with business initiatives.
• Operates HRIS system(s) to maintain appropriate data integrity.
• Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
• Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule (s) as necessary.

Job Specification:
Bachelors Degree
Generally requires 10+ years related experience
