Requirements
Position Description:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Business Systems, this position will be responsible for leading release testing and creating relevant documentation of functionality included in Biblio, Macmillan’s bibliographic, contracts, rights, and royalties system.
Major Responsibilities:
• The ideal candidate will have the ability to develop a big-picture understanding of Macmillan’s structure, workflows, and business practices in order to better manage system testing and documentation.
• Will create system test plans for new releases and enhancements to Biblio
• Coordinate with New York and London based Biblio, Vista, Data Warehouse, and interface teams to facilitate system testing
• Develop and maintain on line training material for end users.
• Participate in ad hoc departmental projects. May include some interface support, testing for other user applications, etc.
Required Skills / Knowledge:
• Ability to prioritize workload and adhere to project schedules
• Should have exposure to system implementations and testing
• Superior written communication skills
• Ability to work well as part of a team
Experience Needed:
• 5-7 years of relevant work experience. Publishing experience preferred.
• Experience creating test plans
• Experience creating documentation for users a plus
Educational Background Required:
• College degree or equivalent work experience
