Requirements
Position Description:
Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Business Systems, this position is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the US Biblio team, managing the execution and completion of system testing, and providing all necessary end user support. While this position will be responsible for the US Macmillan implementation of Biblio, knowledge of Biblio as a system is not necessary. It is more important that the candidate have an understanding of publishing and a comfort with technology in general. Strong management skills required.
Major Responsibilities:
• Manage day to day operations of the US Biblio team. Will include: release planning and scheduling; creation and maintenance of Tracker calls; documentation of and responses to user requests; and communication and coordination with various teams in the US and UK about relevant developments.
• Document departmental workflows and procedures. Suggest improvements to current processes.
• Participate in publisher outreach to inform end users of coming changes to the system.
• Provide end user support including desk-side support and small group user training when necessary.
• Coordinate with various Macmillan systems teams in New York and the UK to support system changes, testing, etc.
• Participate in ad hoc departmental projects. May include some interface support, support for other user applications, etc.

Experience Needed:
• 7-10 years of relevant work experience. Publishing experience strongly preferred.
• Management experience required.
Educational Background Required:
• College degree or equivalent work experience
