Job Description
The Ride Operations Supervisor is responsible for upholding the standards of safety, quality, Guest service, and efficiency while overseeing the daily operation of ride operations. This position will play an active role in problem solving, training, scheduling, discipline, and motivation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Must be trained and have general knowledge of all aspects within the ride operations department
• Comply with all Great Escape Resort and Six Flags policies and procedures
• Perform duties as a Team Member when necessary, including but not limited to operating rides
• Operate in a safe manner
• Be an active Team Member of the Operations Division and the Ride Operations Department
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for Guests and Team Members
• Follow all delegated tasks assigned by Operations Management or as stated in the Operations Standard Operating Procedures
• Completes daily inspections to be recorded on company documents
• Creates break schedules, and performs break rotations for area of responsibility
• Coach and document employee events and discipline
• Trains staff in accordance with Six Flags and Great Escape Resort standards
• Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time
• Must be able to perform effectively with ride operator responsibilities
• For safety purposes, the individual must be able to communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
• Ability to actively communicate with large groups of Guests
• Be available to work flexible hours including nights and weekends within the limits of applicable Federal, State and facility labor laws and guidelines
• Must be able to perform effectively in a supervisory capacity
Other Functions:All other duties assigned or necessary to support the resort as a whole.
