Job Summary:
The Role:
Reporting to the Finance Director of Live Nation's House of Blues / Theater & Club division, the individual will provide dedicated analytical support to the operations and financial teams. The individual will be responsible for providing both high level and detailed analysis of operational and financial performance, and play an important role in supporting the company’s growth by ensuring continued improvements and accurate reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Leverage querying tools, including Excel pivot tables, BPC, Business Objects to organize and review large quantities of data.
• Track and calculate compensation, commissions, incentives and bonus
• Work with the Finance team on the annual budgeting/planning process, as well as the monthly forecasting process, including revenue, margins, EBITDA and workforce planning
• Design, utilize, and interpret ad hoc and periodic financial models group to enhance efficiency and performance.
• Proactively review business results and key performance metrics to provide analytical, strategic and financial support to senior management
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required, with a focus in finance or business preferred.
• 3-5 years of finance experience preferred; relevant analytical experience such as consulting or corporate business analysis is also a plus.
• Exceptional analytical skills. Experience applying these skills to improve operational performance is a plus.
• Ability to solve problems by gathering information, making recommendations, and ensuring effective execution.
• Detail oriented, with a desire to understand every aspect of the business and independently identify and pursue improvement opportunities.
• Ability to interact with senior executives and management, as well as business staff at all levels.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work flexible hours in support of the business.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• Must have expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel; should be an advanced user with experience linking multiple worksheets and external databases, using pivot tables, and writing nested functions.
• Should have working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.
• Statistical analysis tools (e.g., Business Objects, BPC) is a plus.
