Position Summary:
The Event Coordinator is responsible for all event coordination tasks after events are booked through their conclusion. Ensures tenant requirements are met and facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to by serving as a liaison between the facility and tenants. Maintains positive rapport and form strong client relationships.
Essential Duties:
• Serve as primary contact for clients of assigned events – assisting in development and conceptualization of show needs.
• Provide support and coordination for event operations in compliance with expectations of the event, clients, production, and Sprint Center management.
• Communicate event needs effectively with staff including compiling and distributing accurate & detailed production notes for assigned events.
• Develop CAD drawings for ticketed events in conjunction with the Box Office and production teams.
• Manage, maintain and organize event binders, files and reports, which include all pertinent information for venue’s events.
• Implement and enforce facility rules, regulations, policies and procedures as it pertains to show needs and preparation.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications (Job Knowledge, Skills, and Education):
• A minimum education level of: High School Diploma or its equivalency
• Years of related work experience: 2-4, including previous event services experience.
• Demonstrates effective leadership skills.
• Understanding of budget preparation and management.
• Understanding of general building codes, permits, and OSHA related requirements.
• Demonstrated ability and experience to multi task and delegate.
• Proficiency with general office PC applications (i.e. word processing, spreadsheets, databases).
• Experience in making sound business decisions.
• Creative focus regarding problem-solving.
• Team-oriented with healthy and positive attitude.
• Demonstrated sound organizational, coordinating and personal interface skills.
• Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
• Must be flexible with working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to consistently prioritize projects, meetings and fast-changing schedules while remaining productive and professional.
• Valid MO driver's license in good standing to operate a company owned vehicle.
• Ability to use computer and other office productivity machinery constantly throughout the day.
• Must be able to move about the venue for extended periods of time.
• Move, transport, position materials as needed up to 25lbs.
Preferred Qualifications (if applicable):
• BA/BS Degree
• Experience at a sports/marketing company, sports venue/arena, or large event facility.
• AutoCAD experience
