Job Description
Overview: Generate strategic media initiatives and lead all aspects of media planning for a major client.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategy to define the future direction of account
• Resource for others in defining high level strategy for subsidiaries/business unit
• Responsible for designing and managing projects and resources for subsidiaries/business unit
• Oversee local media plan development and take strategic lead on plans for specified group/account.
• Team leader for client interaction fostering positive relationships.
• Identifies key target insights based on client brief necessary for formulating communication strategy.
• Evaluates composition of a wide range of media vehicles to determine which would most effectively reach the target audience. Effectively communicates and solicits agreement of best opportunities for clients.
• Supervising, training and developing staff (managing workload, delegating responsibilities and checking work for accuracy, performance management).
• Providing staffing recommendation and daily supervision to all accounts.
• Directs the long-range planning and development of programs to ensure best use of organizational resources• Serves as leadership and content development coordinator for all client presentations
• Participates in new business efforts including development of new business opportunities and new business pitches.
• Responsible for long range strategic vision for industry and how it applies to clients’ needs
• Ability to cross sell inter-agency products and services
• Participation in special projects involving cross department team development and leadership
• Work with the Consumer Insights and research teams to identify and deliver key learning opportunities for client
• Serves as key Resource for others in defining high level strategy for subsidiaries/business unitManagement/Supervisory
Qualifications
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree
• 8+ years media planning experience
• Progressively responsible experience in people management and leadership
Business Competencies:
• Fluency with Media Tools and solid understanding of Digital Planning tools
• Able to work with internal research team to develop learning plans for client
• Able to develop, implement and execute strategy to define future direction business unit
• Able to guide others in defining high level strategy for business unit
• Able to plan, conduct, assign and meet obligations for business unit
• Able to design and manage projects, resources, stakeholders, participants and deadlines for
