OVERVIEW
The Cross Portfolio and Partnership Sales Associate is responsible for working with the CPP team to help generate new and incremental sales revenue across all of AMC Networks. The CPP Associate reports into the CPP Manager, and with the SVP completes a nimble three person team. Candidates must be able to think creatively, be proactive, and communicate clearly with team members. This position requires someone who is articulate both in written and verbal communication, energetic and passionate about all things marketing and advertising, and has an eagerness and willingness to learn and support a great team. Strong PowerPoint skills are necessary.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Proactively seek new ways to monetize the networks and boost the reputation of our brands on-air, digitally, and socially, which requires an intimate knowledge of each network’s branding and scope
• Research new event and activation opportunities for all networks
• Collaborate with AMCN digital and research teams to build stories for specific target categories and clients
• Continually research client marketing initiatives and campaigns to find potential links between the advertiser campaign goals and potential synergy with our networks
• Dig in to new/missing business clients and think creatively to develop ideas for how to bring these clients onboard
• Collaborate with the marketing teams to create opportunities for the sales teams
• Build and maintain presentations for the President of Ad Sales as requested
• Attend network events as requested (IE Rooftop Films events after work throughout summer)
QUALIFICATIONS:
• 2yrs.+ experience in a similar marketing, advertising or communications role on brand or agency side
• Passionate about television, pop culture, and tech. Entertainment experience a plus, but not mandatory
• Excellent computer skills – proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Photoshop
• Self-starter who is self-motivated but highly collaborative
• High attention to detail; high level of energy and commitment
• Project management – ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong written and oral communication skills – ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a diverse group is a must
• A clear understanding of the importance of client service is required
• Creative thinking and ability to generate out-of-the-box ideas/concepts
• Must be able to work with other internal divisions and external contacts/vendors under tight deadlines to develop and execute sponsorship elements
• Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
• Experience with social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, YouTube, and Tumblr
