• Acts as a liaison between management and employee to resolve disputes.
• Communicates with all levels of management and supervisors regarding property policies and procedures.
• Oversees the analysis, maintenance, and communication of records required by law or local governing bodies or other departments in the organization.
• Informs Vice President of Human Resources of any situation that may require further attention.
• Advises management of problems and concerns of employees, giving recommendations for resolution.
• Processes court-ordered garnishments.
• Refers team member benefit and medical concerns to the Compensation and Benefits Manager.
• Assists in answering EEOC charges in an efficient and professional manner.
• Responds to unemployment claims in an efficient and professional manner. Represents the company at unemployment hearings as required.
• Reviews and provides final signature on employee counseling notices, investigates any notice, where the employee has requested it and/or where management does not follow the property’s Policies and Procedures.
• Reviews and provides final signature on all performance evaluations.
• Maintains current knowledge of all applicable state and federal employment laws as well as and local jurisdiction gaming laws and the property’s Policies and Procedures.
• Maintains the strictest level of confidence within the department, ensuring that the individual payroll amounts of each individual employee remain private and confidential.
• Copies and distributes all applicable payroll reports.
• Files and maintains all departmental time keeping reports.
• Posts information pertaining to hours worked, deductions, paid time off, benefits, gratuities, and direct deposits into the computer in a timely, accurate manner.
• Ensures the integrity of all financial data produced in payroll.
• Reviews and processes all incoming paperwork.
• Conducts the necessary research to effectively resolve payroll disputes from Employees.
• Calculates and verifies payroll time adjustments in Kronos.
• Other duties as assigned.
