The Bertelsmann Accounting Services, operating through Penguin Random House LLC. is seeking an Associate, Accounts Payable - Support to join their team.
Main Responsibilities:
•Reviews daily new problems and responds accordingly to resolve the issue.
•Follows up daily on old problems sent out for resolution to ensure answers are obtained and issues are resolved within set guidelines and maintains problem spreadsheet.
•Utilizes all tools and reports available to facilitate problem resolution.
•Professionally responds to inquiries from internal and external customers/vendors.
•Periodically reviews assigned vendor accounts and reconciles vendor accounts.
•Actively identifies on-going issues and recommends solutions to correct or improve our processes.
•Makes logical and sound decisions, and keeps management apprised of potential problems/concerns.
•Possess overall comprehension of various processing procedures, account code structures, approval requirements, etc. for entry/payment processing via SAP.
•Possess comprehensive knowledge of SAP A/P and purchasing modules in relation to processing and/or required research for vendor account payment status/ inquiries.
•Perform other tasks and projects as needed.
•Manages priorities to meet deadlines within established guidelines.
•Demonstrates self-reliance and resourcefulness.
Education:
•High school diploma or equivalent
Professional experience / competencies / traits
•1-2 years A/P or related experience preferred
•Ability to identify and resolve problems.
•Possess strong computer, math and analytical skills.
•Able to set priorities and manage the daily workflow.
•Accurate, organized and detail oriented with exceptional follow up skills.
•Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
•Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment with heavy work volume and with others in a team environment to meet individual and departmental goals.
•Proficiency in PC skills, Microsoft Word, Excel.
•Strong Customer Service skills required
