Job Description
KCEN-TV, the Waco/Temple/Killeen, Texas, TEGNA Media Inc. Company, and NBC Affiliate, has immediate opening for an Account Manager position that serves as a support role for the Local Sales Team. This position assists Sales Managers and Account Executives in all aspects of the sales process, including good stewardship of client business.
Responsibilities:
• Respond appropriately to incoming calls and emails from clients, proper paperwork and order entry with high level of accuracy
• Pulling reports as needed, including pre-logs, post-logs, invoices, late-runs, audience delivery/post-buy analysis reports, etc.
• Notifying clients and/or national reps of late-runs. Entering make goods, monitoring under delivery
• Working with sales staff and clients in researching and resolving discrepancies
• Working with traffic operations as needed
• Assisting maintenance and updating of sales support material, including our Intranet sales site as well as physical files
• Providing back up support for other sales, traffic, administrative, and other station personnel
• Preparing multimedia presentations and supporting documents
• Coordinating sales project merchandising and promotional support
• Occasionally participating in outside sales functions / presentations
• Be a positive and professional representative of TEGNA and our multiple advertising platforms
• Accurately communicating with clients and/or rep firm personnel using systems such as E-port, AE Inbox, and MediaLine.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum 2 years of account service support in a professional, fast paced environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Dependability and punctuality
• Excellent follow-through and detail orientation
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good interpersonal skills – get along well with others
• Accurately compare and verify information
• Effectively communicate with others (present ideas, facts and technical information clearly)
• Quickly adjust to changing priorities, goals, procedures and essential duties
• Take initiative; effectively solve problems on your own
• Work with numbers (basic arithmetic including fractions and percentages)
