Responsibilities
Responsible for guiding a team of Technology Operations Specialists whose primary focus is on post sales planning, implementing and maintaining technological solutions for an Enterprise Managed Services client. A key job duty will be to evaluate, assign, develop and deploy staff resources to meet internal and external customer demands. The Technology Operations Manager facilitates and promotes the training and development of internal staff members as well as customer's IT staff members. A critical activity will be to develop and coach employees to ensure they have the proper knowledge and skills to be successful and to ensure that they are staying ahead of the technology and solutions in the market place.
The Technology Operations Manager will provide professional support services to customers during the implementation phase and guide those activities through the entire contract life cycle. This position will also provide consulting services related to the configuration and workflow development associated with installed solutions as well as future business opportunities. A key responsibility will be to document issues, successes and realities of a post sale implementation and develop standards and best practices based off of those experiences. Role functions as a technical escalation point for high value clients and where risk is deemed to be at an unacceptable level. Customer satisfaction, relationship development and excellent communication skills are essential. Project management, risk analysis and remediation planning will all be expected activities.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the administration of all in-scope technologies in accordance with agreed upon protocols established with Client’s I.T.
• Oversee and manage daily activities of on-site Technology Operations Specialist.
• Ensure technology solutions conform to the overall Canon - Client program goals.
• Establish and manage relationships with all appropriate Client’s I.T. personnel and management. Engage Client’s I.T. as necessary.
• Participate on regular internal and external status calls and provide feedback and propose/drive action plans on all initiatives.
• Oversee and manage all technical support, troubleshooting and escalation activities to internal and external parties; including Client, Canon and 3rd party vendors.
• Plan and drive testing and implementation programs of hardware/software solutions in Client’s network environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. 5-7 years experience in a related field including technology as well as customer service. Advanced skill sets in the design, implementation, project management and troubleshooting of complex hardware and software solutions. Ability to identify risk and develop remediation strategies for complex technical solutions. Work independently with remote supervision and work flexible hours as necessary. Must have a valid driver's license.
