Job Summary
Summary:
Manage all aspects of critical infrastructure technical sites of an assigned market. Primary responsibilities are the maintenance and repair of multiple HVAC and CRAC units along with all associated equipment within their respective systems. Requires hands on technical abilities to perform a wide spectrum of complex assignments, projects, preventive maintenance, technical troubleshooting and equipment repair and efficiency management to meet goals of power usage efficiencies within each assigned site. Will also require meeting availability goals set by site and combined with all sites at a roll-up level for North America.
Job Description
Essential Duties:
• Preventive Maintenance of HVAC and associated equipment.
• Troubleshooting and repair of HVAC and associated equipment.
• Preventive maintenance of all other critical infrastructure equipment and manage third party vendors providing additional services, such as preventive maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure where self performing is not available within the assigned sites.
• Troubleshooting and repair of all other critical infrastructure equipment. Perform tasks associated with all phases of critical infrastructure management, maintenance, repair, engineering of a variety of equipment within a telecommunications center environment.
• Administrative duties, email, Oracle, SharePoint, etc. and manage and track spend, use Oracle applications and other
web based applications.
• Efficiencies, engineering, analysis, tracking and managing vendors.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:
• Must have advanced experience and knowledge in all major technician disciplines, which include HVAC, CRAC units and its associated equipment and systems such as dry coolers, condensers, pumps, variable frequency drives, cooling towers, chiller knowledge and chilled water systems.
• Required to possess valid Universal Refrigerant Certification for Type I, II & III.
• Expected to possess, or have the ability to quickly obtain, a valid journeyman’s license in the HVAC/R field.
• Experience with properly documenting use and disposal of regulated refrigerants of other hazardous waste to comply with laws set by federal, state and local jurisdiction.
• Should have experience working in data center environments; be familiar with building management systems and power utilization efficiencies. AC power distribution, generators and uninterruptable power supplies. Also be familiar with DC Power distribution, rectifiers and battery backup systems.
• Must maintain site security and cleanliness.
• Must have PC skills and be well versed in Microsoft Windows and Office application.
• Must have functional knowledge of Inside Plant (ISP) disciplines, electrical and other related telecom practices conforming to the industry standards.
• Capable of extremely high standards of customer service and the technical capability to grow and maintain a telecommunications environment. Must have a strong technical and mechanical background with experience on the latest generation of building management systems, critical infrastructure (HVAC systems, high-voltage electrical systems, DC Power Plants, etc...) found in Telecommunications facilities, as well as a basic knowledge of As-Built drawings, building management systems, electrical & mechanical one-line drawings, BCP/emergency management plans and source parts for needed repairs.
Education Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or 5 plus years of relevant job experience. Relevant job experience is

• Field Of Study: HVAC/R and associated mechanical systems
• Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
• Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.
Physical Requirements:
• Field (maintenance) – Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; lift 25 lbs.; Valid driver’s license required;
works in all weather conditions.
