We are looking for an experienced Email Marketing Manager to guide and drive the Pharma & Life Sciences Solutions business – through proficient, and expertly-led email marketing, campaign management, B2B and B2C database management, and insights-based analytics.

The Marketing team is on a steep trajectory due to our recent adoption of Adobe Campaign, growth in lead generation activities, improved integrations with Salesforce, and growing customer and Client lists. We need the experience and expertise of an email marketing manager to help propel us forward and lead the email marketing process by focusing on campaign ideation and scheduling, list management and segmentation, HTML build, QA, deployment and reporting.
With a focus on healthcare marketing and media planning, your leadership will help us improve individualized communications with our Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Clients, while also ensuring we continue to drive rich, multichannel engagement with our extensive base of end-users, healthcare professionals.
This is a full time role based in New York City or Philadelphia, and reporting into the Director, Marketing.
Your responsibilities
With the support of an Email Campaign Manager, your main responsibilities will include the following:
Scheduling:
• Lead the development of a departmental calendar to facilitate optimal usage of proprietary database and licensed lists
• Maintain departmental email calendar, working with internal stakeholders to schedule emails to support their initiatives
Development:
• Facilitate the development of new email communications that more efficiently leverage existing databases and purchased lists
• Partner with Marketing colleagues and cross-functional teams such as Sales, Salesforce.com Administrator, Product Management, Social, and outside Agencies to produce and launch campaigns and acquisition programs
• Analyze B2B and B2C customer databases to find engagement and revenue opportunities through content, segmentation, activation/reactivation, and testing
• Hands-on implementation and management of ESP (Adobe Campaign), including updates to data warehouses, customer segments, campaign automation activities and customer journeys
• Integrate email best practices into all email programs, including appropriate platform testing, automation, triggered campaigns, template development, dynamic content, personalization, A/B testing, segmentation, retargeting and more
• Partner with EMEALA and APAC regions on global email marketing campaigns and CRM strategies – ensuring brand consistency and best practice execution
• Drive the formation of efficient Marketing email workflow processes
Deployment:
• Optimize email deployment strategies – segmentation; A/B testing; triggered (behavior-based) campaigns
• Seek opportunities for scalability and efficiency

Metrics/analytics:
• Capture all appropriate email metrics (from send to conversion) to ensure campaign optimization (includes the management of proper email campaign tagging)
• Develop and maintain a departmental dashboard to track, analyze and report on campaign data such as CTR, open rates, and deliverability for continual optimization
General Management:
• Maintain weekly status report
• Schedule and coordinate necessary meetings with internal and external stakeholders
What you should bring
• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing or Business
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in CRM or email marketing
• Hands-on expertise with Adobe Marketing Cloud (especially Adobe Campaign) including HTML content build, dynamic content, segmentation, testing and automation
• Knowledge of email best practices around deliverability, A/B testing, dynamic content, and automated campaigns
• Experience integrating ESP with CRM (ie, Adobe Campaign with Salesforce.com)
• Highly analytical and proficient in Microsoft Excel and web analytics tools (Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics)
• A positive attitude, excellent written and verbal communication skills and be highly organized with a strong attention to detail
• Ability to learn technical systems and in-house tools quickly
