Position Summary:
The Senior Manager, Operations Networks is responsible for the configuration, configuration management, documentation, operations, and release management for secure, highly available, low latency networks in production and staging environments. This position has responsibility for the day to day management of personnel and systems providing operational support for all Broadcast network platforms. Part of the responsibility is working with other engineering divisions and keeping pace with future IT industry directions, including the role that cloud technologies may play, and relating these changes to current and future network infrastructure needs. This position is a "hands-on" leadership role interfacing with all levels within the organization as well as across departments. The individual in this position must remain continuously aware of business, technical, and architecture changes and ensure that all changes to the production environment are tested and will meet the security and performance needs of the business. This individual may be called upon to provide a level of project management for single or multiple projects.
The Senior Manager, Operation Networks is responsible for the management of several critical 24x7 enterprise networks and technical teams that deliver the company's services. Areas of ownership include implementing networks as designed, security, and monitoring architecture for those networks and data center hosting for all internet products (internet connectivity, network security, application support).
The successful candidate has technical leadership experience, excellent communication skills, and technical expertise with exposure to multiple infrastructure technologies (Compute, Storage, Cloud computing and storage, Networking, Security, Virtualization, Monitoring and Automation).
The role will also analyze and implement network configuration requests and ensure they meet the multi-tier security best practices and are effectively integrated within current applications and ensures that all systems are working at optimal levels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop clear and accurate documentation of the existing network security and monitoring solutions.
• Work with engineering teams to ensure network designs and technologies are understood and implemented effectively.
• Manage the network request for change process.
• Analyze existing infrastructure solutions to understand existing performance and functionality.
• Manage technical evaluations and technology recommendations for monitoring network security.
• Monitor and ensure resolution of support escalations and provide training and guidance to all levels of support escalations.
• Make recommendations for new equipment/services to purchase.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• This position will have personnel and systems supervisor responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or related discipline or equivalent experience; Master's degree in computer science or electrical engineering is desired.
• Minimum of 7 years of designing and or operating technical solutions in a multi-site, 24x7 high availability production environment.

Technical Skills:
• Strong expertise in the design, configuration, and implementation of low latency data networks with very high security.
• Fully versed in common Internet services such as DNS, SMTP and HTTP/S.
• Fully versed in switching and routing. CCNP certification preferred.
• Fully versed in ITIL principles. ITIL v3 certification preferred.
• Expertise in Storage and very large scale Data Management: NFS, CIFS.
• Exposure and technical expertise in multiple infrastructure technologies (Compute, Storage, Cloud computing and storage, Network, Security, Virtualization, Monitoring, DataCenter).
• Experience with various Windows technologies (2003/2008/2012, Win7, Active Directory).
• SNMP, NTP, TACAS, Syslog and other critical network management/administration protocols.
• Extensive experience in LAN layers 2 and up and WAN technologies and implementations.
